Wat Bang Nom Kho - Pra Nakhon Sri Ayuttaya
Pictures of Wat Bang Nom Kho Temple
The pictures below were taken by Spencer Littlewood on a visit to the temple as he was comissioned as Guide and Translator for Mr. Geoffrey; a devout disciple of the Buddhist faith from Canada (originally emigrated from Vietnam).
The Pictures were taken in January 2550 B.E. (2007).

Spencer decided to help Luang Por Yong and Wat Bang Nom Kho to reach people who need to find the temple on the Internet, due to the fact that this Temple has kept to the Ancient principles of Buddhism, and has not developed technologically.
Spencer believes this to be a good thing, due to the fact that the distractions of TV, Internet and the like are not very conducive to the practice of simplicity required by the 227 rules of Theravada Monkdom.
Sadly though, as a result of this, the more Authentic Temples and Masters do not get to reach the Public as much as the more Collateral generating Institutions.
Spencer therefore came up with the idea of starting this website with the intention of presenting this Authentically traditional Wat to all the devout Buddhists around the World, and in addition to find a way to generate donations and increase the number of people who come to recieve Blessings at this Temple.
Spencer feels the necessity to explain this as he plans to develop an online shop to enable devotees who are non-Thailand residents to be able to obtain Buddhist Amulets, Medicines and Literature from this Compassion based Temple, and he is worried that people may think the Temple is doing this for it's own Financial interests.
Spencer wishes to assure all visitors to the site that this idea is solely his own with the sincere wish to help what he believes is one of the few Authentic and Traditional Theravada Temples left in existence.
He believes that the money collecting part of Buddhism is up to the Lay Community, if this was always the case, the Monks would be able to practise their simple existence without having to send their consciousnesse into such a complex and easily criticizable thought process as money making.
Despite the aforesaid matter, it is currently impossible in the present day Society to develop projects to help living Beings without the collection of Assets (Money).
This is the reason for the existence of this website; to spread the Dharma and make goodness that is to be found at Wat bang Nom Kho available to Human Beings all over the world.
We wish you Happiness; Satu!
